第29届文化节 & 肋骨爆燃

Nearly 5,000 community members attended the St. 菲利普学院^th 年度CultureFest & 肋骨爆燃 on April 25.

This year, the college’s official Fiesta event had several exciting new features. One of the most notable additions was the presence of the 圣安东尼奥 Stock Show & Rodeo, which gave attendees a taste of the Wild West and a chance to take photos with horses. Pies were added to the food competition, adding to the flavor of the event.

It wasn't just about food and fun, St. Philip’s 大学 always parties with a purpose.  三个手工, 独一无二的烧烤坑, created by the SPC Welding Club, 被抽彩了吗, 提高7美元,000 for student scholarships.

Among the event’s attendees were 650 high school students from the greater 圣安东尼奥 area who attended the annual Spring Open House where they had an opportunity to explore the college’s programs. 三个学生, Luis Escalon, the valedictorian from Holmes High School, Gabriel McKinley from Steele High School, 还有米凯拉·加西亚, received $500 scholarships to attend St. 菲利普的大学.

The event ended with Fiesta Royalty Rey Feo joining St. Philip’s 大学 President Dr. Adena Williams Loston on the mainstage for closing remarks. He expressed his commitment to education and his gratitude for having three of his four children get their educational journey started at the college.
